Legal Action Against the European Project

Expert opinions have been taken as to the constitutional legality of the European process accomplished by successive treaties without the informed consent of the Electorate. These opinions have confirmed that action needs to be taken.

The legal position of the European project (“A purely political process” Romano Prodi, 1^st January 2002 at the launch of the Euro currency) has never been tested in the courts to the highest level except for the personal action taken by Ross McWhirter at the Court of Appeal 30 June 1972, which was ruled as ‘vexatious’.

The Democratic Party Ltd, in conjunction with other organisations, is planning court action against the Government to test the legality of their European policy.

We are of the firm opinion that the force of the constitutional argument that may be used against those members of H M Government, who are apparently attempting to dismantle the constitutional fabric of our nation, is now so serious that it needs to be tested in the courts as a matter of very great urgency.

Your financial help in this crucial test of our constitutional liberties and freedoms is needed in order to take the case to the highest levels if necessary.

We are greatly encouraged by pledges of support from many ordinary people who feel strongly about this aspect.

The costs are very considerable, a minimum of £250,000 has been indicated, but not so great as to be impossible to meet if enough of the ordinary grass roots people of our beloved land unite to make this stand, perhaps a final stand, in the great cause of our cherished freedoms for which millions have died.

Action Statement – Legal moves to restore the British Constitution

The Integrity of Parliament: Our intention is to restore the legal integrity of the British Parliament that has been undermined by the Treaties of Rome, Maastricht, Amsterdam and recently there is the threat of the Treaty of Nice.

Expert Opinions have been taken on the constitutional legality of the European process. These opinions have confirmed that legal action has to be taken.

The Legal Position of the European Project has never been tested in the courts to the highest level (with the exception of one private challenge in 1972)

Several Alert Organisations with The Democratic Party as the spearhead, are planning to institute court action against the Government to test the legality of their European policy and so the legal standing of the Westminster Parliament.

Dismantling of the Constitutional fabric of Great Britain: We are well advised and firmly of the opinion that the force of our constitution should be used to correct the use of prerogative power to dismantle the constitutional fabric of our Nation.

This is so serious that it needs to be tested in the courts as a matter of great urgency. Our Nation’s status is at stake.

Expectation & cost. We are very confident of winning all phases of the case but must guard against a worst situation scenario and an indicated possible cost of approximately two hundred and fifty thousand pounds.

This we confidently expect to underwrite given that the grass roots people of our beloved land will unite to make this stand, perhaps final stand, in the great cause of our cherished freedoms for which so many have died.

This is a crucial test of our constitutional liberties and freedoms.
